Abhyuday Sansthan

Many contemporary challenges are not caused only by a lack of material resources. They also arise from confusion about human aspirations, relationships, development and the purpose of education.

Individuals may achieve academic, professional or financial progress while continuing to experience dissatisfaction, conflict, stress or disconnection. At the social level, competition, mistrust and fragmented thinking can weaken families, institutions and communities. Environmental challenges also reveal the consequences of patterns of production and consumption that are disconnected from long-term coexistence.

Abhyuday Sansthan responds to this need by creating space for systematic study and self-exploration. Its programmes encourage participants to understand whether harmony can be recognised, verified and lived, rather than treated merely as an ideal.

The Sansthan’s work is therefore not limited to delivering lectures. It supports a deeper process of understanding through questions, dialogue, reflection and lived participation.

The introductory camps provide participants with an initial orientation to key questions related to human aspirations, happiness, prosperity, relationships and coexistence. Longer study camps allow for more detailed engagement with the propositions of Madhyasth Darshan and their relevance to personal, family, social and ecological life.

The residential format supports continuity of study. Participants are able to engage in collective discussions, ask questions and reflect on how the ideas relate to their everyday conduct.

The programmes are designed for people from diverse backgrounds, including students, teachers, professionals, families, social workers and individuals seeking a more comprehensive understanding of life.

One of Abhyuday Sansthan’s significant areas of contribution has been its engagement with teachers and educational institutions.

The Sansthan has participated in programmes connected with the training of Delhi government teachers. It has also contributed to the development of the Happiness Curriculum introduced through the Directorate of Education in Delhi.

This contribution reflects the Sansthan’s wider understanding of education. Education is not viewed only as a means of academic achievement or employment. It is also seen as a process through which children and adults can develop clarity about themselves, relationships, responsibility and participation in society.

Teacher development therefore becomes essential. When teachers have greater clarity about human values and relationships, they can create learning environments that are more participatory, respectful and meaningful.

The Sansthan’s work in teacher capacity building demonstrates how Jeevan Vidya–Sah-Astitva can contribute to mainstream educational conversations without reducing the subject to moral instruction or motivational content.

This work demonstrates how the principles of coexistence and human values can be integrated into mainstream education, benefiting millions of students while strengthening the role of teachers as facilitators of holistic learning.

SHAPE Foundation supports projects that encourage a shift towards holistic, responsible and co-existential living. Abhyuday Sansthan aligns closely with this purpose through its work in education, consciousness development and teacher capacity building.

SHAPE Foundation’s support is connected with the planned development of a new residential wing that can accommodate approximately 250 individuals. This expansion can enable the Sansthan to host more participants, conduct longer study programmes and strengthen its institutional outreach.
