About

About the Trust

Beed is in drought-prone Marathwada. One weak season can leave a family in debt for years.

Rain, water, soil, crop choice, input cost and markets sit together. A single-issue scheme rarely holds. Global Vikas Trust works with farmers on the whole farm, so risk falls and the household can stay on the land.

Our work

How the Trust works

Low-investment farming, water and soil, demonstration, and women’s work on the farm.

Low-investment farming

01 / Farming method

Low-investment farming

Expensive machines and chemicals can raise one harvest and still leave a family more exposed if rain or prices fail.

Water, soil and suitable tools

02 / Practice

Water, soil and suitable tools

Useful technology here is often simple: water saved, soil kept, irrigation timed, harmful inputs reduced.

Demonstration, not only talks

03 / Training

Demonstration, not only talks

Farmers need to see a method on land like their own.

Women in the farm economy

04 / Household

Women in the farm economy

Women already sow, harvest, keep animals and manage the house.
