Sinhayana Foundation is a Mumbai-based non-profit initiative working to empower underprivileged children and young people through dance, music and performing arts.
The Foundation works with the understanding that every child needs more than access to basic services. Children also need opportunities to express themselves, feel recognised, develop confidence and discover their abilities.
Dance, music and theatre give participants a safe and structured space to explore emotions, work with others and build confidence. These creative forms also allow young people to communicate experiences that may be difficult to express through ordinary conversation.
The Foundation does not treat art only as entertainment or performance. It uses artistic participation as a practical means of developing resilience, discipline and self-belief.
