About the Project

About Prerana Vidyalaya

Prerana Vidyalaya brings academic education together with value education, relationships, practical participation and responsible living. Children learn through classroom study as well as their interaction with people, nature and the wider campus environment.

About Prerana Vidyalaya

The purpose is to help students develop academic ability while growing into responsible, self-reliant and humane individuals.

Prerana Vidyalaya is part of Manav Teerth, a centre dedicated to the study and practice of Jeevan Vidya–Sah-Astitva. The larger campus brings together school education, youth development, family participation, agriculture, animal care and environmentally responsible living.

The school follows a CBSE-oriented academic pattern while creating space for value education, personality development and practical learning.

Students study age-appropriate academic subjects while also learning to observe, communicate, work with others and participate in shared responsibilities. Education is viewed as preparation for the whole of life, not only for examinations or employment.

Manav Teerth accommodates more than 300 students across its educational and residential activities. The campus also includes a three-year youth programme, food cultivation, a Gaushala, solar energy systems and water-cycling practices.

Educational Approach

Why This Approach to Education Matters

A child needs knowledge and skills to participate meaningfully in the world. At the same time, information and professional ability alone do not answer every question a student encounters while growing up.

Children also need opportunities to learn how to understand themselves, recognise and fulfil relationships, communicate with trust and respect, make responsible choices, work collaboratively, care for the body and physical environment, and participate in family and society.

Prerana Vidyalaya seeks to bring these dimensions into the everyday educational environment.

Value education is therefore not treated as an occasional lecture or a separate moral science subject. It is reflected in classroom relationships, teacher conduct, collective work, dialogue, problem-solving and the culture of the campus.

Connecting Academic Subjects with Life

+

Academic education remains an important part of Prerana Vidyalaya.

Students build abilities in language, mathematics, science, social studies and other subjects appropriate to their age. Teachers seek to connect these subjects with observation, application and daily life wherever possible.

Through this approach, academic subjects become means for developing clarity and capability rather than isolated information to be memorised.

Language – Expressing thought with clarity and communicating respectfully

Mathematics – Developing accuracy, precision, and logical thinking

Science – Studying visible processes and natural harmony in nature

Social Studies – Examining family systems, community, history, and human participation

Abilities Developed Through Real Participation

+

Children learn many important abilities by participating in real activities.

At Prerana Vidyalaya, age-appropriate participation may include caring for common spaces, working in groups, observing campus production, engaging with plants and animals and contributing to cultural or community activities.

The purpose is not to replace academic study with physical activity. It is to help children understand that thought, skill and work support one another.
